In Feb 2015, I did a 5-day symposium consisting of 25 interviews with powerful and inspiring women sharing their stories and advice for transcending life’s struggles, fears and doing it their own way. We got so much incredible feedback on the interviews, we decided to turn it into a podcast. About Dr. Deb Kern:

At 30 years old, Dr Deb Kern was one of those women who ‘had it all together.’ Perfect house, perfect neighborhood, perfect job, perfect health, perfect marriage, perfect pregnancy. And, in a 3 month period she lost it all. It took four years to emerge from the wreckage of that half-lived life and since then she’s dedicated herself to improving the lives of other women through intuitive coaching, body movement and dance courses and workshops.

Dr. Deb is the former Executive Director of Lifestyle Enrichment at the prestigious Lake Austin Spa Resort. She’s a sought-after speaker on mind/body/spirit health, and the author of “Everyday Wellness for Women” and co-author of “Create the Body Your Soul Desires: The Friendship Solution to Weight, Energy and Sexuality. Dr. Deb has facilitated healing retreats and provided one-on-one life coaching sessions for the past 20 years. She studied Nursing at Vanderbilt University and received a B.A. and an M.B.A. from the University of Texas at Austin, with her Ph.D. in Health Sciences from Texas Woman’s University in Denton, TX. Lastly, she’s also a Black Belt Nia Teacher, certified Integral Hatha Yoga Instructor, Phoenix Rising Yoga Therapist and Mindful Change Coach.
