Colorado guy granted Sentence By Judge: Get Married, Or choose Jail

More than certain men happen recognized to jokingly call their unique wives “the ol’ basketball and string,” or even be mocked a little by their bachelor celebration visitors for enjoying their unique “last day’s independence.”

When it comes to a Tx guy though, it was the exact opposite: Getting married had been a get-out-of-jail-free gay dating card.

That’s where situations had gotten odd. The judge, Randall Lee Rogers, supplied Bundy an option that appears straight-out of a sitcom: the guy could go to prison for 15 days, which would have cost Bundy their work. Or, he could take a couple of years of probation, with two distinguished circumstances: within their probation, he would have to duplicate out Bible verses each and every day, and even more importantly, get hitched within thirty days.

Bundy thought we would wed his 19-year-old girlfriend, Elizabeth Jaynes, in spite of the probable unconstitutionality regarding the sentence.

The bride’s grandfather informed CNN he was “really disappointed,” and is seeking his choices to attempt to get the phrase overturned. Bundy’s now-wife, Jaynes, told local station KLTV that she don’t be sorry for the choice to have hitched, but that “it decided we weren’t gonna be capable have the marriage we desired.”

That they had a hastily arranged marriage in the courthouse, this means Bundy remained out of prison, and posted the picture below to Facebook.

Congratulations (?) into the newlyweds.
